Hands-On Opportunities
The Rotary Club of Slippery Rock welcomes volunteers for a variety of community programs and projects throughout the year, including:
- Area cleanups and beautification projects
- Hunger management and community food banks
- Service projects with local schools, Slippery Rock University and other community partners
- Event support for Rotary fundraising activities
- Seasonal community events and fundraising partnerships.
Who Can Volunteer?
You don’t have to be a Rotarian to volunteer. Individuals, families, students and groups are all welcome — especially if you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community. In addition to personal fulfillment, community service activities are great ways to make new friends throughout the community and strengthen family bonding and relationships.
To volunteer, contact us and we’ll match you with an upcoming community service project.
Rotarians & Volunteers Plant Summer Blooms

On Saturday, May 23, the weather was cloudy and damp, but without rain when Rotarians and community volunteers planted annuals throughout the borough as part of Slippery Rock in Bloom. They planted flowers in 24 containers across town and in large beds at Memorial Park and Holmes Corner. Rotary raises the funds for four seasonal plantings and caring for the flowers throughout the summer. This is the 15th year for the Slippery Rock In Bloom community service project.
