Slippery Rock Rotary to Sponsor Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, August 12
SLIPPERY ROCK, PA (August 6, 2026) – According to the American Red Cross, America’s summer blood supply is the lowest it’s been in over 4 years. To steady the course, the Rotary Club of Slippery Rock will be sponsoring a blood drive on Wednesday, August 12, at Slippery Rock’s Center Presbyterian Church. The drive will run from Noon through 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of the church located at 211 Center Street.
Donors of all backgrounds and blood types are urgently needed by area patients. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit https://rcblood.org/donate and enter 16057 (the Zip Code for Slippery Rock)in the Location Field to schedule an appointment for the blood drive. People donating blood during the Slippery Rock Blood Drive will receive a S25 Amazon Gift Card via email while supplies last.
The Slippery Rock Rotary also has blood drives scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, and December 2, 2026 at the church.
